Miller Mig Welder

Millermatic 252 Welder

The Miller MIG welder is built tough and is sure to last. This statement is relative since nothing really lasts forever.

I really like Miller Electric because they have an excellent track record for providing quality service to their customers. One of the main things that they offer is excellent customer support you can be sure that they will be 100 percent behind you when your machine brakes down.

Miller MIG welders have to go through a series of stringent tests to ensure that the product will stand up to a tough environment. These test include the Arizona room test and the salt spray corrosion test. All of the tests simulate real to life conditions and make sure the welding machine will last.

But as I said earlier, everything will break down over time, the Miller MIG welder is not excluded. The newer inverter power source is capable of doing new tricks such as arc shaping and pulsing. However they do seem to break down more often when compared to the older transformer style machine such as the Syncrowave 250.

Miller MIG Welder Reviews

Millermatic 175 MIG Welder

The Millermatic 175 is being phased out and is going to be replaced by the Millermatic 180. It is best used for light industrial welding applications including light fabrication, maintenance or repair, and autobody work. It uses MIG (GMAW) and Flux Cored (FCAW) welding processes. The Millermatic 210 has been around since 2005. The MIG 210 is a little bit more powerful than the MIG 175, but it is best used for light industrial work just like the MIG 175. Check out our Miller 210 MIG Welder review to learn more about it.

What do you do when your Miller MIG welder stops working?

If you are a weekend warrior then you can sit around and wait for the local welding supply to pick up the unit and repair it.

However, if you are faced with a deadline to complete you welding job, you will need to find another working welder or you need to be able to repair the machine quickly to get your work back on track.

One of the great things about Miller Electric is that they an excellent reputation when it comes on to customer support. They offer a three year warranty and parts replacement. And the really wonderful thing is that they have common sense. They will even help you out in the so called ‘grey areas’ where it’s not clear whether the machine wore out or broke due to negligence.

Many seasoned welders prefer working with Miller MIG welders. Not just because they are innovative and their machines are simple to use, but they were down right sure that they will get someone on the phone whenever they call Miller support.

That’s why Miller is the brand for the serious as well as the hobbyist welder. Many other welding machine companies have been trying to step up their customer support to compete with Miller, but they’re not there yet. I really hope they catch up because our country needs good products and excellent support so as to compete with the cheap Chinese welder machines on market.
